Stephen Remp is Executive Chairman of Ramco Energy plc, the Alternative Investment Market listed independent energy and oil services company focused on exploration and production. He founded the company in 1977. Mr. Remp was educated in Europe and the USA, obtaining a BA in Political Science and Economics from Claremont Men’s College, California and an MA in international Economics from The School of Advanced International Studies, John Hopkins University, Washington DC. He was awarded an honorary doctorate of Technology by Robert Gordon University of Aberdeen in 1996, in recognition of his pioneering work in Central Asia and particularly Azerbaijan. He was also co-founder and is Chairman of SeaEnergy Renewables Ltd, the marine renewable energy company.

square PETER REDMAN, 73, Deputy Chairman

Peter Redman’s extensive career in the oil and gas industry spans over 50 years and has its beginning chapter with his posting to the town of Basra, Iraq in the mid-1950s by the Iraq Petroleum Company (in which BP was a senior partner). He has worked in the UK, Australia and Norway and throughout the Middle East, the former USSR and Eastern Europe. Mr. Redman is currently Chairman  of Midmar Energy Ltd. and of Midmar Energy Onshore Ltd., companies he founded in 1995. He is also Chairman and Managing Director of Firstdrill Ltd, a drilling engineering and operations company.

Mr. Redman’s considerable expertise and relevant regional knowledge of the oil fields in Iraq place him in a unique position to guide MPC and IOSCO to operational success.

Robert Abel Smith has had a career spanning over twenty five years in international business with considerable experience in the CIS, the Far East, South East Asia and the Middle East. Since 2003, Mr. Abel Smith has been intimately involved in building an active export business to Iraq. Previously Mr Abel Smith was a director of an international metal recycling business.
